“ Sorayama was eager to make another book that specialized in his
erotic works to coincide with the release of his new anthology “SORAYAMA THE GYNOIDS SUBLIME” for
his big retrospective exhibition “SORAYAMA Light, Transparency, Reflection -TOKYO -.” This exhibition and
the book are only for his overground artworks basically.
“THE GYNOIDS SUBLIME X” compensates for “THE GYNOIDS SUBLIME” which is lacking his most
important underground artworks. This new book represents a
milestone with a precious record of his own growth which depicts his continuous search as a lifework for a new
and sensual 'femininity' as can be seen in his 'pinup art', the 'Sexy Robots', and the 'Gynoids'. "
